About The Position

The Quality Assurance Coordinator at Albertsons Companies is responsible for ensuring food safety and quality standards at the Bellevue Beverage Plant. This role involves data collection, compliance with regulatory standards, and the development of quality programs to enhance operational efficiency. The coordinator will also participate in audits and maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field (desired).
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and laboratory settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to learn additional business applications.
• HACCP/FSMA certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Strong analytical judgment and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to motivate and influence various levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for plant Food Safety Plan reporting, including data collection and record keeping.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards and maintain relationships with plant personnel.
• Perform quality audit inspections and record keeping on the plant floor.
• Collect product samples for analysis and update the Food Safety Plan as needed.
• Develop and implement new quality programs to meet corporate standards.
• Participate in regulatory audits and act as QA Supervisor in their absence.
• Conduct microbiological analysis and prepare samples for testing.
• Work flexible hours and assist in operational tasks to improve food safety and quality.
