This position is part of the Quality Control department located in Madison, Wisconsin and will be on-site. You will be a part of the Quality Control Team and report to the Quality Control Supervisor responsible for performing various QC assays to support manufacturing, stability, and process development in accordance with standard operating procedures. In this role, you will have the opportunity to independently perform routine QC assays according to established standard operating procedures under daily direction from the QC Supervisor. You will also perform data entry and review your own work for accuracy in accordance with laboratory procedures, document and compare testing results against control/specification limits, and report all Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Trend (OOT) results and other quality concerns to the QC Supervisor. Additionally, you will assist in basic equipment maintenance and calibration tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform routine QC assays according to established standard operating procedures under daily direction from the QC Supervisor.
  • Perform data entry and review own work for accuracy in accordance with laboratory procedures.
  • Document and compare testing results against control/specification limits.
  • Report all Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Trend (OOT) results and other quality concerns to the QC Supervisor.
  • Assist in basic equipment maintenance and calibration tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Scientific field.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory practices.
  • Good depth perception, manual dexterity ability, and steady hands for pipetting.
  • Good communication skills to function within the QC group as well as cross-functionally.
  • Ability to perform basic math and algebra.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working in a professional laboratory environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of biological processes, specifically protein biochemistry.
