About the position

The QC Inspector at IPS - AkroFire is responsible for ensuring that products meet customer requirements and specifications through thorough inspection processes. This role involves visual and dimensional measurement, product testing, and documentation of inspection results, contributing to the quality assurance in a manufacturing environment focused on high-value markets such as aerospace and defense.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products for visual defects using unaided eye or magnification tools.
• Perform dimensional inspections using contact and non-contact measurement equipment and vision systems.
• Read and understand part drawing requirements and specifications.
• Follow work order/router requirements and specific work instructions.
• Understand and execute required secondary operations such as trimming, post-curing, die-cutting, parts cleaning, packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Report and document inspection results accurately.
• Review documents such as work orders, certificates, and product labels for completeness and accuracy according to GMP/GDP requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Understanding of product conformity and GMPs/GDPs.
• Basic math skills and good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, neat, and meticulous with the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
