About the position

The Quality Control Technician at Actalent is responsible for ensuring the conformity of incoming materials and products through rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and visual inspections. This role is crucial in maintaining product quality by interpreting blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements, as well as generating Non-Conformance reports for any non-conforming products.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements in accordance with quality policies, quality procedures, and work instructions.
  • Generate Non-Conformance reports for non-conforming products.
  • Communicate with vendors and customers when required for product-specific information.
  • Communicate with internal departments to rectify potential or current quality-related issues.
  • Perform SAE AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Perform calibration of inspection equipment as required.
  • Perform other testing and inspections as needed.

  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Experience in aerospace defense
  • Proficiency with micrometers and oscilloscopes

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree or higher education
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a highly regulated quality environment
  • Familiarity with tools including micrometers, calipers, thickness gages, height gages
  • Minimum of two years' experience with CMM and Optical Comparators (OGP / KEYENCE)
  • Proficient computer skills with Excel, Word, and other software
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and other technical drawings detailing product specifications
