About the position
The QC Lab Tech is responsible for testing raw materials, in-process, and finished goods to ensure they meet specified physical properties. This role involves conducting various tests, calibrating lab equipment, and maintaining product stability while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Test incoming raw materials based on specifications.
- Visually inspect incoming raw material labels and determine if testing is needed.
- Dispose of chemical waste properly.
- Put non-conforming batches on hold and perform retesting as needed.
- Report results and issues or observations while analyzing samples.
- Assist with Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for outgoing products.
- Pull samples from the warehouse and assist with testing retain samples.
- Comply with 5S, ISO guidelines, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proficiency in chemistry, laboratory, and quality control procedures.
- Experience with wet chemistry, viscosity, and pH testing.
- Associate or bachelor degree in the sciences.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably with a chemical background.
- ISO experience is highly preferred.
