About the position

The QC Line Technician position at NOV, Inc. in Burkburnett, TX is a night shift role focused on supporting the Quality Assurance department. The technician will ensure that finished products and assemblies meet regulatory and organizational quality standards while adhering to safety measures. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, reject, or accept products according to visual standards, weight, tally, and other Q.C. requirements.
• Documentation and recordkeeping.
• Control the removal of monograms from non-conforming products.
• Utilize safe work habits and wear appropriate PPE.
• Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
• 2 years of relatable quality control experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be mathematically inclined.
• Forklift license preferred.
• Basic level computer skills (Microsoft Excel & ERP systems) an asset.
• Training in API Q1 and ISO 9001 is considered an asset.
• Ability to accurately use scales, outside diameter tape, ruler, and thread height gauges.
• Adaptable with the willingness to be a team player and the ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations.

Nice-to-haves

• Training in API Q1 and ISO 9001 is considered an asset.
• Forklift license preferred.
