About the position
The QC Microbiologist will join the Microbiology Quality Project Team at a global bio-pharmaceutical manufacturer. This role involves performing testing and remediation activities for pharmaceutical products, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and excipients. The Microbiologist will utilize various test methods, including bioburden, endotoxin, and microbial enumeration, while also providing feedback on test methods, validation protocols, and procedures to management, collaborating closely with the engineering department.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing and remediation activities for pharmaceutical products, APIs, and excipients.
- Conduct bioburden, endotoxin, and microbial enumeration tests.
- Provide feedback on test methods and validation protocols to management.
- Collaborate with the engineering department on microbiology-related projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, or a life science field.
- 2+ years of endotoxin testing experience (gel clot and kinetic method on product).
- Experience in a regulated pharmaceutical GMP lab.
- Prior experience with method validation.
