About the position
The QC Order Clerk/Freezer-Cooler at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of food orders. This position involves working in freezer and cooler environments, inputting data, conducting quality checks, and collaborating with warehouse staff to maintain inventory control. The role is essential for supporting the Food Bank's mission to fight hunger in the community by ensuring that food distribution is accurate and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Spot-check completed orders in the warehouse for accuracy.
- Input data from order checks into a spreadsheet.
- Verify the correctness of CSFP orders nightly.
- Notify the supervisor of any quality issues with items.
- Unwrap, break down, and rewrap pallets to check orders as needed.
- Perform assigned duties in freezer and cooler environments for extended periods.
- Operate a pallet jack to facilitate order checking.
- Research and report on order-related statistics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Valid CA Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask.
- Detail-oriented with a good aptitude for figures.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. on a daily basis.
