Responsibilities
- Operates similar production machines to perform similar operations or produce similar parts.
- Handles jobs of short duration requiring frequent change in set-up and variation of individual cycles.
- Maintains moderate control over product quality.
- Works from specific written or verbal instructions and general operating practices, applying judgment and selectivity.
- Sets up machines requiring interaction of several variables.
- Loads raw material into the machine, manually operates, varies and modifies the cycle, and unloads the finished product.
- Performs additional operations manually or using simple machines.
- Checks products routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring devices.
- Adjusts set-up and process operation accordingly.
- Maintains production records and monitors product quality against established control charts.
