About The Position

The Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) at ARCA is responsible for supervising staff and managing the care of individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring active treatment programs, as well as collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop Individual Service Plans (ISPs). The QIDP will oversee the training and performance of direct teaching staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality assurance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a Human Service related field, or a Registered Nurse license required.
  • QIDP Certification required.
  • Minimum of two years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a setting of 15 employees or more preferred.
  • Knowledge of ICF/MR regulations preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and database applications.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

  • Experience in managing financial accounts.
  • Experience in training and supervising staff in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise 15-30 staff members in an InterCare Facility.
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of individuals receiving services to identify learning and training needs.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and establish program goals and objectives.
  • Train and monitor direct teaching staff to implement and document individual programs.
  • Evaluate and design teaching strategies based on individual progress.
  • Manage household financial accounts and individuals' allowance accounts.
  • Maintain household and individuals' files/records and oversee general household maintenance.
  • Administer the facility safety program and ensure compliance with ICF/MR licensure standards.
  • Write and adhere to the annual financial budget for each assigned home.
