About the position

The Medication Aide position at Signature Healthcare of Muncie is a vital role focused on providing quality care to residents by accurately preparing and administering medications. This position is part of the Weekend Team, requiring commitment to work all weekends and an additional day to fulfill full-time hours. The role emphasizes patient safety, attention to detail, and adherence to medical protocols, ensuring that residents receive their medications as prescribed by licensed physicians.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare and administer oral and topical medications to residents.
• Ensure all medication has written orders, signed, and dated from a licensed physician.
• Verify identity of residents before administering any medication.
• Observe medication is ingested or applied as directed.

Requirements

• Current Medication Aide Certification or Current Nursing Assistant Certification from state.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.
• Strong attention to detail and able to multi-task.
• Must be insulin certified.
