About the position

The Live-In Care Provider position involves providing comprehensive care and assistance to elderly clients in a home setting. The role includes daily living support, companionship, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the client. The position is contract-based, offering a monthly stipend along with free room and board.

Responsibilities

• Shopping and meal preparation
• Cleaning and laundry
• Assisted daily ambulation
• Yard care and snow removal
• Reminders to take prescribed medication
• Transportation
• Daily record keeping
• Bathing and showering assistance
• Regular bathroom assistance
• Changing Depends/pads
• Daily dressing with assisted transfers in and out of bed
• Assistance with eating meals
• Nighttime assistance
• Full body transfers and dressing
• Addressing additional medical needs as required

Requirements

• Ability to recognize danger and evacuate in case of fire
• Mental acuity without an Alzheimer's diagnosis
• Ability to toilet independently
• Availability of an extra bedroom and separate bathroom
• Family's ability to pay $1500/month for care
