About the position
The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional/Program Specialist at Merakey is responsible for advocating for individuals with disabilities and ensuring proper monitoring functions are completed. This role involves managing a defined caseload, which includes traveling to various homes and day programs, and acting as a liaison between the facility, families, and outside agencies. The position is supervised by the Social Services Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary advocate for individuals with disabilities.
- Ensure monitoring functions are completed appropriately.
- Manage a defined caseload of individuals.
- Travel to various homes and day programs as required.
- Act as a liaison between the facility, families, and outside agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
- Or a Master's degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
- Valid driver's license.
