About the position
The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) is a management-level position focused on creating and implementing service plans for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves overseeing daily operations of residential homes, managing a team of direct care workers, and ensuring the well-being and development of residents. The position is ideal for strong leaders with a background in human services who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities
- Create service plans, activity plans, and learning goals for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Manage a staff of direct care workers.
- Oversee daily operations of small residential homes for adults with developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a human service related field (sociology, special education, psychology, etc.) from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum of one year of personal or professional experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
- Strong management skills and leadership abilities.
- Organizational skills and computer proficiency.
- Valid Driver's License.
