About the position

The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) is a management-level position focused on creating and implementing service plans for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves overseeing daily operations in a residential setting, managing a team of direct care workers, and ensuring the well-being and development of clients. Responsibilities

  • Create service plans, activity plans, and learning goals for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Manage a staff of direct care workers.
  • Oversee daily operations of small residential homes for adults with developmental disabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a human service related field (sociology, special education, psychology, etc.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of one year of personal or professional experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
  • Strong management skills and leadership abilities.
  • Computer skills.

Nice-to-haves
