About The Position
The Therapist/Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) at the Family Counseling Center (FCC) is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services under the supervision of the FCC Program Director. This role involves conducting therapeutic assessments and delivering clinical services to individuals and families in need. The QMHP will engage in various clinical duties, including the development and implementation of treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, as well as the facilitation of individual and family therapy sessions. The position requires a strong understanding of mental health assessment tools and the ability to interpret these assessments to inform treatment strategies. In addition to direct therapeutic work, the QMHP will be involved in the clinical supervision of therapists, ensuring that best practices are followed and that staff are supported in their professional development. The role also includes responsibilities related to data collection, policy development, and the implementation of protocols that enhance service delivery. The QMHP will cultivate partnerships with key stakeholders to improve access to mental health services and support the overall mission of the Family Counseling Center. The position requires participation in weekly clinical supervision, completion of mental health needs assessments, and the management of service records and documentation. The QMHP will also be responsible for verifying insurance, managing billing processes, and ensuring compliance with Medicaid billing procedures. Depending on the site, there may be opportunities for intern supervision and involvement in crisis response activities.
