About the position

The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) will provide essential mental health support to children, assisting them in navigating emotional and behavioral challenges within a school setting. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with educators and parents to create a supportive environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for students.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on emotional regulation, social skills, and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a holistic support system for students.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on mental health awareness and intervention strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality in all interactions.

Requirements

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
• Valid QMHP certification or licensure in the state.
• Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school or community setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Passion for promoting mental health and well-being among children.
