About the position
The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) position at Winner's Circle Group of Texas focuses on providing mental health services to children and youth in child welfare. The role involves engaging and supporting families, with the aim of optimizing the functioning of children and youth through goal-directed interventions. The QMHP will work to develop rapport with clients and ensure effective stabilization during transitions.
Responsibilities
- Provide goal-directed interventions to stabilize children and youth in transition.
- Engage, support, and coach parents, children, and youth in child welfare.
- Complete progress notes within 24 hours after each session.
- Demonstrate competency in the work performed and adhere to credentialing requirements.
- Administer assessment instruments and maintain current certification in CANS or ANSA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field.
- At least one year of experience in a related role.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid QMHP Certification license or equivalent LPHA license.
- Reliable transportation.
