About the position
The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) position at the Carolina Center for Counseling in Gastonia, NC, is a full-time role focused on providing support and engagement to adults in a therapeutic day program. The primary objective of the staff is to assist clients in developing essential skills such as work skills, social skills, and daily living skills through various activities. This role requires candidates to be personable and possess excellent communication skills, as they will be responsible for writing weekly notes, creating quality person-centered plans, scheduling, and performing various administrative tasks. Candidates will engage with clients in a Psychosocial Rehabilitation program, which emphasizes therapeutic activities designed to enhance the clients' quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crafting and teaching cooking skills, as these activities are beneficial for client engagement. The position requires a bachelor's degree in social services, psychology, or a related field, along with two years of post-degree experience in a caregiving role. A valid, clean driving record is essential, as the QMHP will be required to drive a 16-passenger van to transport clients. The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM. Responsibilities

Requirements
- QMHP Certification
- Bachelor's degree in social services, psychology, or a related field
- 2 years of post-degree experience in caregiving
- Valid and clean driver's license
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to write quality person-centered plans and weekly notes.
