About the position

The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) position at Winner's Circle Group of Texas focuses on providing mental health services to children and youth in child welfare. The role involves engaging and supporting families, developing rapport with clients, and delivering goal-directed interventions to stabilize children and youth during transitions. The QMHP will also supervise a team of QMHPs, ensuring they meet their goals and providing necessary assistance and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide goal-directed interventions to stabilize children and youth in transition.
• Engage, support, and coach parents, children, and youth in child welfare.
• Complete progress notes within 24 hours after each session.
• Supervise up to 10 QMHPs, ensuring they meet their weekly goals.
• Monitor QMHP hours and assist with the creation of Quarterlies/ISPs.
• Conduct weekly follow-ups and progress checks with QMHPs via phone calls.
• Attend and lead bi-weekly team meetings and trainings.
• Report any issues or concerns to the Director of Operations.
• Meet weekly with the Director to report on issues and progress with QMHPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, or related field.
• At least one year of experience in a relevant field.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Completion of a standardized training curriculum.
• Current certification in the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment (CANS) or the Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in child welfare services.
