About the position

The Mental Health Professional position at Community Behavioral Center LLC involves providing compassionate care and support to individuals facing mental health challenges. The role encompasses various responsibilities, including conducting assessments, implementing treatment plans, and facilitating counseling sessions. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute positively to the mental health community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments and collect relevant data to monitor progress.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions, fostering a supportive environment.
  • Engage in crisis management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
  • Facilitate case management activities, ensuring patients receive appropriate resources and support.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage patient engagement in their treatment.
  • Offer grief counseling as needed, helping patients navigate their emotions during difficult times.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience or training in mental health care, counseling, or a related field is preferred.
  • Licensed in Professional Counseling and/or Clinical Social Work is a plus.
  • Experience in working in the CORE and/or Ifi program.
  • Experience with writing BIRP notes is a plus.
  • Strong skills in crisis management and conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with coding practices related to mental health services is a plus.
  • Proficient in data collection methods and patient assessment techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Knowledge of clinical counseling practices and case management principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact on their lives.
