About the position

The Qualitative Research Analyst position at UCSF is a temporary role focused on supporting medical education research through qualitative data collection and analysis. Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews and qualitative analysis of data.
  • Design interview and focus group guides, including code book guides.
  • Gather, analyze, and summarize qualitative data.
  • Provide consultative services for data collection and management techniques.
  • Train faculty, residents, fellows, and students in qualitative data analysis software (Dedoose).
  • Assist Principal Investigators with grant preparation and abstract submissions.
  • Prepare proposals and contribute to manuscript and presentation preparation.
  • Perform systematic reviews of medical education literature across various databases.
  • Organize and summarize key points from relevant articles.
  • Compile documentation for IRB submission.
