About the position

As a Qualitative Research Analyst at Tractor Supply, you will play a pivotal role in managing the customer insights community, which is essential for understanding customer needs and preferences. Your primary responsibility will be to design and oversee various research projects utilizing an online insight community management platform. This involves not only the management of customer panels but also the recruitment and ongoing engagement of community members to ensure active participation. You will be tasked with creating engagement plans that keep community members involved and invested in the research process. In addition to managing the community, you will analyze and summarize both qualitative and quantitative data derived from the insights community. This analysis will be crucial in translating customer feedback into actionable insights that can drive business decisions. You will collaborate closely with merchants and business leaders to design research projects that are both quantitative and qualitative in nature, ensuring that the insights gathered are relevant and impactful. Your role will also include the creation of surveys and discussion guides, as well as moderating online discussion boards, interviews, and focus groups. You will oversee the end-to-end execution of research studies, which includes not only the analysis but also the reporting of findings to effectively communicate insights to business leaders. Your ability to convey these insights will be key in driving organizational actions based on customer feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee recruitment and ongoing management of customer panels and communities
  • Create engagement plan(s) to keep community members active
  • Ongoing monitoring of community health and participation
  • Collaborate with merchants and business leaders to design quantitative and qualitative community-based research projects
  • Create surveys / discussion guides
  • Moderate online discussion boards, interviews and focus groups
  • Oversee end-to-end execution, including analysis and reporting of research studies to effectively communicate insights to business leaders and drive organization actions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in customer research, consumer insights or market research
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Statistics, Marketing or related field
  • Experience in survey design and programming
  • Knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research techniques
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage, empathize and connect with customers
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving
  • Understanding of statistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically using Excel for data analysis
  • Experienced with synthesizing and visualizing data in PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience with online customer community platforms
