About The Position

The Quality Analyst will be part of a centralized, professional scan team supporting all business units to analyze internally developed and inbound third-party software code for compliance with open source licenses, commercial licenses, and standards. The role involves using a variety of software tools to review and annotate code according to defined guidelines and resolve scan projects with minimal escalations to the Open Source Group. The analyst will prepare reports of scan findings, research open issues, and request additional information from stakeholders in Engineering, Program Management, Product Management, Business Unit Legal, and the Open Source Group. Responsibilities also include tracking and reporting on status, monitoring product roadmaps, interacting with the release readiness/approval process, managing automated scanning workflow, and documenting software metadata and usage guidance in databases. The position requires working with limited guidance to resolve issues of moderate complexity relating to any aspect of scan projects.

Requirements

  • Daily experience using Excel.
  • Daily use of multiple web browsers (e.g., Edge, Chrome, Firefox).
  • Regular use of online collaboration tools, such as Teams or Zoom.
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Regularly perform high volume, repetitive tasks with extreme accuracy.
  • Completion of high school diploma.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in an office/corporate environment.
  • Experience with legal work and/or conducting open source investigations.
  • Experience with software scanning tools such as Blackduck, Palamida, FOSSID, or Fossology.
  • Above average English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Research skills using Internet and internal resources.

Responsibilities
