Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Quality Analyst/Principal Quality Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. The Quality Analyst will develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. This role ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. The Quality Analyst will review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. They will investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Additionally, the Quality Analyst will interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met and recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
  • Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
  • Review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Aerospace or Quality Assurance experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 1 year with a Master's for Quality Analyst.
  • Minimum of 6 years of Aerospace or Quality Assurance experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 years with a Master's for Principal Quality Analyst.
  • Active DOD Secret Security Clearance last investigated within 5 1/2 years and the ability to obtain special program access.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Knowledge of analyzing and interpreting testing laboratory and chemical analysis results.
  • Must be able to work in-person/on-site.
  • Must be able to work around hazardous chemicals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledgeable with Northrop Grumman internal systems; Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Interpreting receiving inspection requirements per customer specifications.
  • Experience extracting metrics to track process health.
  • Detail oriented and able to understand the big picture.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.)
