About the position

The QA Lead is responsible for overseeing and executing IT project testing, collaborating with Business Systems and Technical Engineering teams to ensure effective task and resource planning for certifying IT projects. This role involves managing the test strategy to ensure comprehensive test coverage and implementing QA management policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as QA Testing Lead for a portfolio of project work
• Ensure completion of a testing strategy for each project, including functional, non-functional, regression, automation, and performance testing
• Establish resource requirements to execute test strategies and work with vendor partners on quarterly staffing plans
• Provide QA project cost estimates to Managers from Business Systems and Technical Engineering for scorecard ROI calculations
• Collaborate with Automation Engineers on the use and maintenance of regression scripts
• Produce and share a standard QA report for each project, including testing burnup charts, failure %, defects, etc.
• Ensure accurate and complete project defect details are included in the enterprise defect tracking tool
• Oversee agile story testing process and provide guidance on acceptance criteria
• Handle escalations from project teams as needed
• Implement policies and procedures as requested by the QA management team

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of software quality assurance experience
• Agile testing experience
• Vendor oversight experience
• Highly organized
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
