About the position

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of products and services through thorough testing and defect identification. This role is critical in delivering exceptional software to customers while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts based on product requirements and specifications.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Automate test cases where applicable using tools like Selenium, JIRA, or TestNG.
• Identify, document, and track software or product defects in bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to QA processes and methodologies, recommending improvements when necessary.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on technical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test scripts, results, and metrics.
• Create and update QA reports for stakeholders.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals.
• Assist in defining quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-5 years of QA experience in software development or related industry.
• Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or TestComplete is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools (e.g., JIRA, Postman, SoapUI).
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or C# (optional but preferred).
• Understanding of database concepts and proficiency in SQL queries.
