About the position

As our Quality Analyst II, you'll support HID's success by utilizing quality assurance tools to test, track, analyze and report on materials, processes and products. You will collect data, develop and maintain documentation relative to quality assurance activities for continuous process improvement. Additionally, you will assist in conducting quality training and be actively involved in our continuous improvement, preventive and corrective action, and Safety programs. Your role will include generating reports on issues identified during quality assurance activities and providing recommendations to effect improvements. You will also assist with Quality planning functions including Quality Management Systems and product audits, manage relevant KPIs, and perform failure analysis on non-functioning HID products. This position requires conducting ISO 9001 internal audits and Supplier audits as needed, promoting the use of preferred techniques for continuous improvement, and working with suppliers to address unresolved quality issues. You will support new product development to ensure all aspects of design controls are robust and comply with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing quality assurance tools to test, track, analyze and report on materials, processes and products
  • Collecting data, developing and maintaining documentation relative to quality assurance activities for continuous process improvement
  • Assisting in conducting quality training and being actively involved in continuous improvement, preventive and corrective action, and Safety programs
  • Generating reports on issues identified during quality assurance activities and providing recommendations to effect improvements
  • Assisting with Quality planning functions including Quality Management Systems and product audits
  • Managing relevant KPIs, such as Delivered Quality, RMA, MRB, and CAPA
  • Performing failure analysis on non-functioning HID products and addressing root causes with appropriate corrective actions
  • Performing in-process inspection and on finished product at suppliers/contract manufacturers
  • Conducting ISO 9001 internal audits and Supplier audits as needed
  • Promoting the use of preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
  • Working with suppliers to address unresolved supplier quality issues
  • Complying with and reinforcing the requirements of quality/standard operating procedures at suppliers/contract manufacturers
  • Supporting new product development to deliver safe and effective products to the market

Requirements

  • Associate / Bachelor's / Master's degree or equivalent technical school education in related field
  • 1-3 years of direct Quality Engineering experience required
  • Basic understanding of Quality Engineering tools and methodologies (FMEA, SPC, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, 5 WHYS, DMAIC, PDCA, and MSA)
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques strongly desired
  • Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 standard
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows
  • Familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle
