About The Position

The Quality Analytical Development Scientist at Pfizer is responsible for formulating, testing, and implementing analytical process improvements. This role involves supporting and leading technical analytical testing troubleshooting efforts, as well as managing QC investigations and method optimization projects. The position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to lead short to medium-term projects within the Quality team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with eight years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with six years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience; OR a Master's degree with more than one year of experience.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience outside of the classroom.
  • Broad understanding of general analytical techniques.
  • Ability to multitask, understand goals, and set priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a GxP (GLP, GMP) environment.
  • Experience with the design and analysis of experiments and reviewing literature to formulate new approaches.
  • Excellent organization skills with a high level of initiative in performing and troubleshooting experiments.
  • Understanding and comfort using statistical analyses.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Math, or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement improvements to analytical test methods.
  • Troubleshoot analytical methods as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with the Analytical Test Method Validation Program.
  • Qualify and validate all QC Laboratory Equipment for use.
  • Perform periodic review of systems and data.
  • Provide technical support for QC Laboratory investigations through troubleshooting and statistical analysis.
  • Support QC Laboratory testing and review activities.
  • Assist with equipment administrator activities.
