About the position

The Quality and Improvement Engineer position at Rolls-Royce involves working within the Engineering, Technology and Safety (ET&S) team to manage quality escapes, problem resolution, and ensure compliance with quality standards across global engineering functions. The role emphasizes collaboration, data management, and governance to enhance quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality governance in ET&S, maintaining connectivity and consistency with divisional and functional governance activities.
• Manage quality data, ensuring accurate reporting to ET&S Global Capability Directors and representation at Quality and Safety Assurance Boards (QSABs).
• Coach engineers in problem resolution through Management Quality Indicators (MQIs), Quality Notifications (QNs), and Process Deviation Plans (PDPs).
• Facilitate the closeout of Quality Audit findings within ET&S.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 1+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in a relevant engineering field, or JD/PhD.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working across engineering disciplines and processes with knowledge of the Rolls-Royce Management System (RRMS).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with senior management and colleagues across different sites and time zones.
• Ability to lead and influence globally diverse teams.
• Proficiency in 8D Problem Solving techniques.
