About the position

The Quality and Risk Coordinator at Mount Carmel Behavioral Health is responsible for ensuring compliance with contracts, licensing, and accreditation standards. This role involves monitoring and auditing program components, collaborating with clinical staff, and assisting in the development of quality improvement initiatives. The coordinator will also maintain documentation related to performance improvement and risk management, and facilitate communication between management and committees.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and audit program components to ensure compliance with contracts, licensing, and accreditation standards.
  • Obtain and renew accreditation and licensing for the facility.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and management for the review and entry of incident reports.
  • Complete quality analysis reports and identify recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and oversight of program improvement initiatives and corrective action plans.
  • Assist with program and quality-related training as appropriate.
  • Maintain accreditation compliance, patient safety goals, and other state or licensing requirements.
  • Record and retain committee meeting minutes, performance improvement, and risk management documentation.
  • Facilitate document processing between managers and committees.
  • Track projects assigned throughout the facility, including quality council, policies and procedures, safety committee, and departmental monitors.
  • Assist in project implementation and system-wide education and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in quality assurance and risk management in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of accreditation and licensing standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical staff and management.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with mental health or behavioral health services.
  • Familiarity with CMS regulatory requirements.
  • Certification in quality management or risk management.
