About the position

The Quality and Safety Data Analyst at MUSC plays a crucial role in supporting quality improvement initiatives by extracting, organizing, and analyzing data. This position involves identifying trends in complex datasets and contributing to strategic projects across various functional areas, including program evaluation and operations research. The analyst will work closely with the Quality and Safety Manager to enhance the quality of healthcare services provided by the institution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in extracting and organizing data for analysis.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Support various departments in maintaining quality improvement work.
  • Conduct research to gain expertise in unfamiliar areas for project support.
  • Present complex information in an understandable manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with three years of project support experience or a Master's Degree with one year of project support experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and compellingly.
  • Demonstrated ability to take direction and support various projects.
