The Quality Assurance Analyst, HMIS at Breaking Ground plays a vital role in ensuring that the organization's data collection processes meet the standards set by the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). This position is situated within the Government Contract Compliance and Quality Assurance department and reports directly to the Director of Quality Assurance and Performance. The primary focus of the Quality Improvement Analyst is to support HUD-funded programs by ensuring that data entry, collection, and monitoring adhere to HMIS standards. In this role, the Quality Improvement Analyst will develop audit tools that reflect HMIS data standards and conduct regular reviews and audits of databases to ensure compliance. The analyst will create ongoing schedules to monitor and review data quality for key indicators, providing regular feedback to program teams on their findings. Additionally, the analyst will support program managers in remediating and modifying processes to improve data quality, preparing quarterly and annual reports for HUD, and updating program managers about any changes to HMIS standards. The position also involves identifying, documenting, and communicating areas of non-compliance or potential risks related to HMIS data standards. The Quality Improvement Analyst will implement and maintain quality assurance processes and best practices to enhance data compliance efforts continually. Furthermore, the analyst will provide guidance and support to teams in resolving HMIS compliance-related issues and offer training support to program managers regarding HMIS standards. This role may require visiting Breaking Ground buildings and programs throughout New York City as needed.
