About the position

The Quality Assurance Analyst I (QA/QC) position is responsible for performing environmental monitoring and quality control within the aseptic process area of a pharmaceutical setting. This role involves testing components according to established procedures, reviewing records for accuracy, and applying standard concepts and practices within the laboratory. The position requires attention to detail and compliance with SOPs and GMPs, contributing to the overall quality and safety of the products manufactured.

Responsibilities

  • Performs occasional environmental monitoring in areas of varying aseptic classification.
  • Performs data entry and prepares various reports.
  • Completes Batch Record Reviews.
  • Completes tagging of material.
  • Maintains and orders supplies in assigned areas.
  • Performs laboratory maintenance.
  • Performs logbook reviews as required.
  • Performs equipment and area purges as necessary.
  • Maintains attention to detail while reviewing records, logbooks and issuance of records.
  • Assists with special projects as required or requested.
  • Promotes a safe and harmonious work environment.
  • Maintains compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.

Requirements

  • An Associates or Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution in science or related field.
  • At least 1-3 years' experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of contemporary laboratory practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge and skill in operating various specialized equipment.
  • Knowledge of general computer functions such as Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Skill in handling several projects or tasks at the same time, or within a given time frame.
  • Advanced Problem Safety Sensitivity; the ability to recognize a safety issue or potential safety issue.
  • Skill to use time management techniques in personal daily tasks and that of others.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all internal and external information and processes.
  • Ability to follow personal hygiene standards/procedures according to SOP.
  • Ability to wear protective attire as required and don gowning materials in correct order per SOP.
