About the position

Intelliswift Software Inc. is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team in Dallas, TX, on a hybrid basis. This position is expected to last for over 12 months and offers a competitive pay range of $60.00 to $82.00 per hour on a W2 basis. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our QA automation framework. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, executing, and debugging automation scripts, logging and reporting defects, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues in a cloud environment. You will also be responsible for running daily health checks of applications using automated tools and creating test data to ensure the quality of our products. In this role, you will work closely with Senior QA Engineers and key Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) such as the Product Owner, System Architect, and Scrum Master to plan the test strategy and approach for scalable and risk-based test coverage. You will lead the development of the test automation framework and initiatives using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber, and create an automation framework from scratch for a web-based application in a cloud platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our QA testing process, maximizing the efficiency of our development teams, and minimizing product delivery time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation framework development, manual testing, and automation scripts, coupled with a passion for streamlining the testing process and adopting industry best practices. You will be expected to develop quality assurance standards, participate in test strategy discussions, draft test artifacts, and document test results while assisting with defect management. Additionally, you will perform 508 compliance testing and engage in the communication process to present information and respond to inquiries effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of test automation framework and QA automation initiatives using Java/Selenium/Cucumber.
  • Create an automation framework from scratch for a web-based application in a cloud platform.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scripts for requirement validation, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing.
  • Develop quality assurance standards and track quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in test strategy, test estimation, and planning discussions.
  • Draft test artifacts, including Test Plans, Business Test Scenarios, and Requirements Traceability Matrices.
  • Create reusable test data for automation scripts.
  • Create and debug SQL scripts to be used for test validation.
  • Document test results and assist with defect management.
  • Assist with technical artifacts such as Use Cases and User Interface Specifications.
  • Prepare and present information and responses to higher complexity inquiries.
  • Perform 508 compliance testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, UFT, ALM (Selenium and Cucumber experience is required).
  • 5-7 years of strong experience in automation script development, execution, and automated defect reporting.
  • 5+ years of experience with RDBMS and complex SQL statements.
  • Experience in developing and implementing automation frameworks in a Cloud environment.
  • Experience in creating automation frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM).
  • Strong Java and Selenium WebDriver experience.
  • Experience in testing APIs and data profiling, including end-to-end processes starting with data ingestion.
  • Ability to create analytical data views by gathering data from various sources based on logical use cases and rules related to business operations.
  • Experience in validating data and calculations at various stages, including validation of attributes and transformation using data tools technology.
  • Experience in data profiling and test data creation mapping back to accounting use cases and rules.
  • Ability to dissect transformation rules and validate data migration/onboarding on old versus new systems.
  • Experience in developing test automation and enabling DevOps through continuous testing.
  • Working knowledge of AWS-based data sources such as Aurora Postgres, Redshift, Athena, AWS Glue, and DMS Services.
  • An Agile mindset with experience working in an Agile environment.
