About the position

The Quality Assurance Analyst (QAA) plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of the Weingart Center's programs. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Contracts Compliance & Quality Assurance, the QAA is responsible for overseeing program compliance, conducting internal reviews, and providing training and technical assistance to program staff. The position requires a strong analytical skill set and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and program requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the oversight of program compliance including programmatic participant/client file review of all Weingart Center programs.
  • Review all program participant/client files to ensure they are in compliance with program and funder requirements.
  • Conduct department internal reviews to support program goals and achieve compliance for future funding opportunities.
  • Conduct on-site in-depth reviews or desk reviews of WCA residential and non-residential programs to ascertain compliance with federal, state, and program requirements.
  • Monitor program operational and internal control systems for adequacy and compliance with funding regulations.
  • Compile monitoring findings and communicate results and recommendations for improvements to systems and procedures.
  • Provide training and related technical assistance to WCA program staff through reviews, workshops, correspondence, and telephone contact as needed.
  • Prepare and review monitoring reports addressing project performance including compliance and non-compliance findings.
  • Maintain contract files and correspondence.
  • Assist in defining monitoring issues through research and interviews.
  • Track monitoring and audit information on department databases.
  • Help identify scope and frequency of project reviews with Sr. Director.
  • Assist in developing and evaluating monitoring tools, checklists, programs, and objectives.
  • Recommend changes in procedures and present justification for recommendations.
  • Research legal, technical, or policy issues as needed.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as assigned by the Sr. Director.

Requirements

  • AA required; BA preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in working with government contracts.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with social service program development, contract compliance, and direct client services.
  • Experience in the delivery of social services to homeless and/or low-income individuals.
  • Demonstrated abilities in management of multiple projects and priorities essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Intermediate or advanced level understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook) and HMIS system.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HMIS reports to evaluate and validate program performance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing using correct, standard rules of English.
