About the position

The Quality Assurance Analyst (QA/QC) position is a critical role within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically focused on ensuring the quality and compliance of aseptic processes. This position operates on the 3rd shift and involves performing environmental monitoring, quality control testing, and maintaining compliance with established procedures. The role requires attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs occasional environmental monitoring in areas of varying aseptic classification.
  • Performs data entry and prepares various reports.
  • Completes Batch Record Reviews.
  • Completes tagging of material.
  • Maintains and orders supplies in assigned areas.
  • Performs laboratory maintenance.
  • Performs Logbook reviews as required.
  • Performs equipment and area purges as necessary.
  • Maintains attention to detail while reviewing records, logbooks, and issuance of records.
  • Assists with special projects as required or requested.
  • Promotes a safe and harmonious work environment.
  • Maintains compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in science or related field.
  • At least 1-3 years' experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of contemporary laboratory practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge and skill in operating various specialized equipment.
  • Knowledge of general computer functions such as Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Skill in handling several projects or tasks at the same time, or within a given time frame.
  • Advanced Problem Safety Sensitivity; the ability to recognize a safety issue or potential safety issue.
  • Skill to use time management techniques in personal daily tasks and that of others.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all internal and external information and processes.
  • Ability to follow personal hygiene standards/procedures according to SOP.
  • Ability to wear protective attire as required and don gowning materials in correct order per SOP.
  • Ability to follow all appropriate SOPs and safety procedures per company guidelines.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to be flexible in work hours.
  • Ability to provide motivational support.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, positive attitude at all times.
  • Ability to trust, develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support.
