About the position

The Quality Assurance Analyst (QA) role at Cognizant involves ensuring high-quality software delivery through the design and execution of tests based on valid business scenarios. The position requires participation in grooming sessions to develop test strategies and cases, as well as performing various types of testing including smoke, system, integration, functional, and regression testing. The QA Analyst will also be responsible for defect reporting and tracking, contributing to the overall quality assurance process within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute tests based on valid business scenarios.
• Participate in grooming sessions to produce test strategies and test cases.
• Perform smoke, system, integration, functional, and regression testing.
• Report and track defects using a defect tracking system.
• Build, maintain, and execute the regression test suite.
• Gather, clarify, analyze, and participate in design reviews of business and functional requirements.
• Perform various test techniques and design methods to effectively test applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Minimum six years of experience in software development/quality assurance.
• Experience with issue tracking systems and test case repositories.
• Hands-on experience in requirement analysis, test case design, and test execution.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in designing complex queries.
• Familiarity with XML data structure and web service testing tools such as SoapUI.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Agile Testing and Life Sciences/Healthcare projects.
• Automation testing and performance testing experience.
