About the position

As a Quality Assurance Analyst at BerniePortal, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products. This position uniquely combines manual and automation testing, allowing you to interface between product/development teams and support teams. Your primary responsibilities will include writing automated tests to minimize manual testing efforts and researching improvements for our current automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work with the product and development teams to understand and test new milestone improvements and ensure they are complete and correct.
• Contribute new automated tests to our suite to reduce the manual effort required for regression testing.
• On a monthly basis, work with development to verify our billing run.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing to incorporate best practices into our testing processes.

Requirements

• Experience in software testing, particularly in a manual-automation hybrid role.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and experience with Playwright or another JavaScript-based testing framework is a huge plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and git.
• Proven critical thinking skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and articulate issues to the development team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with other testing frameworks or tools.
• Background in HR/Payroll/Benefits systems.
