About the position
The Quality Assurance Analyst role at firstPRO involves ensuring the quality and functionality of applications and websites through the development, maintenance, and execution of quality assurance test plans. The analyst will create and execute automated test scripts, report and track issues, and provide technical support for end users. This position requires a strong background in automation testing, particularly with Selenium, and the ability to communicate effectively with development and analyst teams.
Responsibilities
- Gain specialized knowledge of operational functions, procedures, and systems such as sales order processing, purchasing, inventory management, shipping, and accounting functions.
- Become knowledgeable about ongoing development projects and system changes to create meaningful use cases and test data.
- Document and communicate issues discovered during testing to development and analyst teams.
- Track QA progress, bug tracking status, and aging of bug resolution.
- Regularly report status to management and provide updates on current open issues.
- Verify that software enhancements and resolutions work as expected and do not cause issues in other areas of the same or different applications.
- Provide end user customer technical support for level 3 issues as needed.
- Deploy software changes to various environments, including production, and manage releases through Change Control.
- Conduct business analysis of processes and identify process improvements as needed.
- Perform work efficiently and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with team members and end users.
Requirements
- Experience with an automated software testing tool, preferably Selenium.
- Experience with bug tracking software and reporting.
- Knowledge of Prophet 21 system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server 2008 and 2012.
