About the position

The Quality Assurance Analyst will manage, implement, and enhance quality assurance outcomes through effective testing strategies across various methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid processes. This role involves collaboration with multiple partners to meet organizational goals and focuses on QA for Oracle and Peer Review. The position allows for remote work or office-based work in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report defects, bugs, and other issues in the software and work with the development team to resolve these issues.
• Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Use a variety of testing tools and methodologies to ensure that the product meets the necessary quality standards.
• Be responsible for continuous improvement of the testing process, new methodologies and tools to improve the quality of the product.
• Champion quality assurance (QA) process and work with the development team to ensure that the software meets the necessary quality standards.
• Be involved in strategic planning for the project, work with the development team and other partners to ensure that the project goals are met.
• Communicate with external partners such as clients and end-users to gather feedback on the software product and to provide updates on the testing process.
• Work as part of a planned on-call schedule and may also be required to work outside of regular business hours on occasion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3 years+ experience in software quality assurance.
• Experience in manual and automated testing.
• Experience with software quality assurance principles and methodologies.
• Experience developing and executing test plans.
• Familiarity with defect tracking/management and performance/load testing tools.
• Experience troubleshooting and providing solutions to technical problems.
