About the position

The Quality Assurance and Control Testing Analyst - Sanctions and Financial Crimes at BNY Mellon is responsible for conducting quality assurance reviews of sanctions operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and documenting any defects or issues discovered during the review process. This entry-level position is part of the Global Payments and Treasury Services Operations team and requires a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct QA reviews of sanctions operations L1 and L2 alert dispositions for static and transactional sanctions hits.
  • Document and report any defects or issues discovered during the review process, providing clear descriptions and relevant details for each defect or issue.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of improved business processes through technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 0-3 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Financial crime-related alert review experience (with a preference for sanctions alerts) or testing/QA experience, highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental test/QA processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to self-manage workload and goals independently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven organization.
