About the position
The Quality Assurance Database Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating product data in SAP and Oracle systems. This role supports QA Managers, Inspectors, Merchants, Planners, and Technical Services staff by providing essential information that tracks quality control inspections, substitution approvals, shipping restrictions, and the disposition of discrepant materials through the Material Review Board.
Responsibilities
- Creation, revision, administration, and maintenance of extensive databases including QC Inspection results, Material Review Board actions, inventory dispositions, and component substitutions.
- Routinely verify data integrity within the databases.
- Assist in placing items on hold, managing QC holds, and releasing products, including production-made items.
- Manage reporting requests and prioritize and automate reports based on business needs.
- Run a variety of regularly scheduled reports utilizing MS Access and MS Excel, requiring access to other systems for necessary data retrieval.
- Develop reports, graphs, and spreadsheets, including fruit retest reports.
- Monitor inventory and expiration lists.
- May assist with other QA duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-4 years of related work experience preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Office, SAP, Oracle WMS, MS Access, and Mii database is preferred.
- Experience with creating and modifying databases is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of computer hardware and Microsoft suites including Access.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
