About the position

The Quality Assurance Engineer at eero will focus on mobile application testing projects to ensure the platform operates smoothly. This role involves validating software releases and enhancing customer experience through collaboration with multi-functional development teams. The engineer will contribute to mobile automation for both iOS and Android platforms, promoting career growth through on-the-job learning and skills development.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the software development life cycle from beginning to end
• Create and execute test plans for existing products and features
• Work with development teams to define testing protocol for new features as they are designed and developed
• Provide additional cross functional test support for other team members
• Develop test scenarios from requirements and ensure maximum requirement traceability
• Providing detailed bug reports to the Engineering Team using JIRA

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
• 3+ years in a Quality assurance role, with at least 2+ years in testing mobile applications
• Solid in-depth knowledge of quality assurance and understanding of web/mobile technologies
• Knowledge of automation tools
• Passion for mobile applications on phones and tablets
• Experience working on iOS and various flavors of Android
• Experience manually building apps onto the simulator or devices with Xcode and Android Studio
• Ability to work independently and within a testing team

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with consumer networking hardware such as routers, switches, wireless access points
• Some level of mobile or web automation experience (using Selenium, Appium, Robotium, UIAutomator etc)
• Experience testing cloud APIs
