About the position

The Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for Kindle E-Reader is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality for e-reader software, with a strong emphasis on automation. This role involves designing and executing test plans, developing automated test scripts, and collaborating with development teams to resolve defects. The QAE will play a crucial role in shaping the quality culture within the organization, advocating for quality standards and processes, and continuously improving testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for Kindle software, ensuring thorough coverage and attention to detail.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and resolve defects.
• Continuously update and improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure best practices.
• Isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
• Analyze test results, prepare test reports, and track quality metrics to inform management decisions.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and testing tools, applying this knowledge to improve our testing practices.
• Advocate for quality standards and processes, influencing peers and stakeholders to foster a quality-centric culture across the organization.

Requirements

• 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
• Experience in automation testing
• Experience in manual testing
• Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in API & Mobile testing
• Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
