About the position

The Quality Assurance Engineer at Bray International Inc. is responsible for ensuring the quality management systems are effectively implemented, maintained, and improved in accordance with ISO 9001-2015 standards. This role involves leading investigations into quality issues, analyzing data for improvement opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product and process quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the maintenance of site quality management systems.
• Use statistical methods to analyze data from enterprise systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Initiate and lead investigations into quality issues, verifying the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Evaluate opportunities for improvement and develop action plans with cross-functional teams.
• Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and propose remedial actions using root cause analysis tools.
• Work directly with vendors to resolve product quality issues.
• Collaborate with engineering team members on DFMEA, PFMEA, and quality control plans.
• Work with operations to improve processes using PFMEA tools.
• Conduct internal and vendor audits.
• Act as an ambassador for the quality organization.
• Develop, maintain, deploy, and train team members on documented procedures and standards.
• Mentor junior team members in quality assurance and control.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 and quality management systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing company quality organization to improve product and process quality.
• Experience working within a quality assurance team to monitor and maintain quality management systems.
• Qualified to conduct internal audits as a lead auditor.
• Experience working with suppliers to improve product quality.

Nice-to-haves

• Engineering degree highly preferred, equivalent experience acceptable (over 15 years).
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification highly preferred.
