The Quality Assurance/Infection Control Nurse at Jonesboro NRC LLC plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of care within the facility. This position involves providing directive and supportive consultation to the nursing staff, working closely with the Director of Nursing Services to coordinate training and education initiatives. The nurse will monitor activities and assist in problem-solving when needs arise, particularly in areas such as monitoring the resident care delivery system and reviewing the duties of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). In addition to these responsibilities, the nurse will recommend medication delivery systems and ordering schedules, teach restraint reduction programs, and train staff on the use of various forms and systems. Performing chart reviews and checking physician orders as needed are also key components of this role. The nurse will monitor the implementation of the Seven Standards of Care and focus on infection control and prevention measures. Evaluating care plans and training staff on skin care prevention and treatment are essential tasks that contribute to the overall quality of care provided to residents. The Quality Assurance/Infection Control Nurse will also review Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments and care plans, ensuring that all nursing policies and procedures are adhered to.
