About the position
The Quality Assurance Inspector at Audubon is responsible for overseeing and inspecting the work of General Contractors and subcontractors on behalf of the Owner. This role ensures compliance with specifications, codes, drawings, and contract requirements, acting as the client's representative. The Inspector will report to a Construction Manager or Project Manager and may assist with additional craft inspections as needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Quality Inspections of General Contractor and sub trades on behalf of the Owner
- Sign off on Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and check sheets regarding completion of work
- Review as-built documentation to ensure completion
- Oversee all Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) processes
- Conduct visual inspections of welding and general fabrication, tracking repairs
- Witness testing such as hydro testing and flushing
- Review and assist General Contractor with Construction Hand over documentation, serving as a sign-off authority for acceptance
- Perform punch listing and close-out verifications
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- 10+ years of experience in construction required
