About the position
BMT Aerospace is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for the 2nd shift in their Fraser, Michigan facility. This role is crucial for ensuring that products meet quality standards in a low volume precision machining environment. The Quality Inspector will utilize their observational skills to identify discrepancies in materials and products, ensuring compliance with blueprints and specifications. Responsibilities
- Review manufacturing routers to assure job completion
- Request/Build gaging instruments
- Perform final dimensional/visual inspection
- Perform first article 'Layout' inspection
- Process job close out
- Interface/Interact with Manufacturing/Engineering
- Generate & process nonconforming materials reports
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-5 years' experience in aerospace or automotive receiving/inspection is desirable
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals
- Ability to use micrometers and height gage
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
- Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Dexterity, physical strength, and physical stamina

- Experience in visual inspection, precision measurements, or both
