About The Position

The Quality Assurance Intern position at Leidos offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance and testing processes. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to document issues clearly.
  • Basic knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • US citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with QA tools like Selenium, JIRA, or TestRail.
  • Experience or coursework in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Previous experience with manual or automated testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Participate in functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Document and report software bugs or issues in a clear and organized manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Development, Product Management) to identify quality improvements.
  • Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Learn and use QA tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Support the QA team in automating repetitive test processes.
  • Conduct post-release/implementation testing and verify bug fixes.
